Just measure the square 4x4. Mark each 1/2" point. Connect the lines. That will give you 8 rows and 8 columns. If you are having trouble locating the numbers in sequence, just copy the numbers left to right and then top to bottom. Keep the square in a folder or somewhere it won't get trashed...then when you want to invoke that energy just do your best to find the sequence of numbers, in order, on the square starting with 1 and ending with 64. It's ok if you have to search, that's part of the process. Sometimes it can take me a LONG time to find a number, and I just keep looking until I find it. Think of it as a meditation rather than some arduous task that is frustrating you. You are simply searching for a sequence of numbers in order to invoke a power. If it takes some time and effort, it's just fine!

I really struggled with the table of mercury even after watching the video and looking in the handout. Here's my q: how do I maintain a trance state while I am hunting and pecking for the numbers to fill out the square in sequence? It felt so arduous that I came out of my relaxation (and if I'm really being honest I got totally discouraged and obviously tense is not what we want!). I am not a numbers/math-oriented person (and I will go out of my way to avoid it when I can). Perhaps the tables (for any planet) are just not the right tool for me? Do you have any tips? Should I try to memorize number placement on the square to make it easier? Should I just abandon and use a different talisman if I'm not mathematically inclined? Or do you recommend I really stick with it and give it another go?

I was also getting frustrated bc I kept screwing up the table and putting too few or too many numbers of rows. By the time I had created square #6 I was at my wits end but pressing on, then I got all the way up to 60 before I realized I put some numbers in the wrong spot and gave up at that point (I ran out of time and had to go do something else). Gah!
