The Perfected Path: Connecting with the Shekinah

Shekinah Glory

Exploring the Ancient Power of the Shekinah

"Shekhinah" refers to the ethereal essence of Divine Presence, known as the "Dwelling Place" of God, whose existence intertwines with profound symbolism and timeless spirituality. Manifesting in various forms throughout history, such as the burning bush, the cloud on Mount Sinai, and the sacred structures of the Tabernacle and Temple in Jerusalem - as recounted in the Hebrew Bible - Shekinah symbolizes the intimate connection between the divine and humanity, a manifestation of divine proximity. While the precise term "Shekinah" does not appear within the biblical text, its mention can be found in other significant Jewish sources, including the Mishnah, Talmud, and Midrash.

In ancient times, Asherah embodied the feminine aspect of the Creator and was associated with the venerated Ark of the Covenant. She represented the Goddess of Earth and Sea. Nevertheless, King Josiah and his priesthood eliminated any reference to Asherah from Temple practices, leading people to recognize her within the concept of Shekinah.

Shekinah is believed to be the luminescent brilliance, spiritual aura, or divine substance dwelling within our beings, transcending our souls' existence while simultaneously permeating the essence of celestial beings like Angels. The Shekinah symbolizes the vital importance that intimately links to higher principles, akin to the concept of the Holy Spirit within the Christian Trinity. Many Christian mystics perceive similar attributes within the Holy Spirit, reminiscent of the wisdom figure Sophia of Gnostic beliefs.

In the realm of the Pauline Arts, acquiring magical prowess or spellcasting is grounded in the augmentation of the divine spark's radiance within oneself through the pursuit of Wisdom and knowledge. Knowledge serves as the catalyst that ignites the flame of Shekinah's ethereal light.

Connecting With The Shekinah

As the first crescent of the New Moon discloses its radiant countenance, the lunar energy becomes accessible, enveloping the surroundings with an ethereal glow. During this celestial juncture, invoking the divine substance of the ancient Shekinah amplifies its luminescence, casting an enchanting aura. The enigmatic and timeless influence of the Shekinah is sought in moments of seeking counsel or solace, offering a comforting mantle during times of distress.

To commune with Shekinah and seek guidance, invoke her luminary presence on Fridays. Archangel Anael, who personifies the celestial sphere of Venus, is also associated with this day. Anael manifests Shekinah's divine essence in conjunction with Gabriel of the Moon and Cassiel of Saturn.

The consistent and focused practice of magic allows for a deeper perception of the Shekinah's presence. However, one must remain aware that her magnificence belongs solely to The Creator and could overwhelm mortal senses. Moses witnessed the Shekinah as the Burning Bush, as it required a "step-down" adaptation to be perceivable within his human capacity.

Shekinah can be perceived by those who seek peace and stillness. She reveals herself as a subtle light, interwoven with other lights in any physical space.

As your spiritual journey progresses, you'll quickly recognize the manifestations of Shekinah. Her presence will become more frequent and transparent. Always honor her holiness. Use her light to seek Wisdom and aid from angels, as she serves as a channel for receiving angelic assistance. Shekinah brings peace and can guide you in times of uncertainty.

Connecting with the Shekinah brings us in touch with the force that joins us with heavenly beings and the Creator. She brings calmness, harmony, and the power to accomplish extraordinary things when she appears. Her light radiates from ordinary objects. When you encounter Shekinah, you momentarily connect with the divine and your requests are instantly granted.

The Goddess, or Divine Feminine

Enlightened individuals can perceive Shekinah in various forms, such as surrounding plants or within themselves. Her presence transforms the entire room. This is not an illusion but a genuine experience.

Shekinah is a concept in Kabbalah representing the feminine aspect of Divinity. She symbolizes the restoration of harmony by uniting male and female Divine elements. According to "The Secret Doctrine of Israel" by A. E. Waite, Shekinah is the guide of humanity, known as "the liberating angel" and the deliverer of souls. Shekinah remains closely connected to society and embodies divine justice and restitution.

In Jewish tradition, Shekinah represents the "outer garment" of the Torah and holds immense importance as the Holy Law. According to Jewish Rabbis, the world's sins caused Shekinah's exile from her rightful place beside God. Despite this, she communicates with humanity, fostering understanding and growth in insight and knowledge.

The concept of Shekinah is captivating, challenging to explain, yet understood by those who grasp its meaning. In Exodus 10:8, God instructs the construction of a sanctuary where He can dwell among His people on Earth, despite primarily existing in Heaven.

Shekinah Glory is a term that represents the embodiment of Divine Substance—a transcendent phenomenon. One vivid example is when the "glory of God" permeated Solomon's completed Temple, akin to Moses and the Tabernacle.

A Mystical Presence Between Heaven and Earth

In later rabbinical literature, Shekinah is portrayed as a distinct presence, bridging the gap between humans and God. Its rare appearances are unforgettable—unmatched radiance beyond words.

Describing such an encounter is challenging, as words fail to capture the exceptional. One of the earliest depictions of the Shekinah as "that which dwells" holds profound significance. Imagine a room drenched in light, emanating from every surface, with no discernible source, eradicating deep shadows.

When Shekinah departs, the light gradually fades, leaving the room devoid of brilliance. It is not an instant transition but a slow withdrawal. Without Shekinah, the room returns to its ordinary state. Occult literature describes this as the "Astral Light," reminiscent of Dionysus' birth from Zeus and Semele in classical tales. Describing such phenomena is arduous, yet words remain our only means of expression.

Shekinah is recognized as the Holy Spirit in Christianity, while many neo-pagans honor her as the Goddess. Shekinah embodies the divine essence, facilitating angelic interactions and genuine magic, miracles, and wonders across all traditions and beyond nomenclature.

Exploring Shekinah's Voice Through Myth and Legend

Bat Kol, a term found in Jewish mystical literature, serves as the channel through which God communicates with humanity. It is the manifestation of the Shekinah as the Holy Voice, imparting Wisdom to the initiated. According to tradition, Bat Kol enables direct communication between God and humans. In Rabbinic literature, it symbolizes the "Echo of God's voice."

When discussing personification and references to God, Shekinah, meaning 'dwelling,' represents a tangible embodiment of God's presence, such as within the Tabernacle. However, these manifestations occur freely, regardless of our awareness, extending beyond specific contexts. These symbols signify the sacred essence of Shekinah.

Whenever a voice from the heavens appears in the Bible, myth, or legend, it symbolizes the Shekinah. A noteworthy example is in Mark 1:12, where a divine voice proclaims, "You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased," referred to by Rabbis as the Bat Kol, expressing God's will.

The term 'daemon' in ancient Greece often denoted a personal guardian spirit. Socrates had a daemon, which he perceived as an inner voice guiding him morally and providing insights into the future. Importantly, Socrates retained freedom of choice, as the daemon did not dictate his decisions. He believed his daemon represented his higher self, acting as conscience and instinct, leading him along his destined Path. Later on, the daemon came to symbolize inspiration.

Discerning the still, small Voice can be challenging since our minds are often cluttered with thoughts and distractions. Composing music for a solo violin in an orchestra requires the composer to ensure that the solo stands out amidst the other violins. Similarly, amidst the clamor resembling the Tower of Babel, hearing Shekinah's gentle Voice necessitates skill and attentive listening to grasp her message. Therefore, practice in careful listening is crucial in this process.

A Source of Healing and Strength

Shekinah is alternatively called the Goddess or the Holy Spirit by different individuals. However, she represents the dwelling place of the Creator and the underlying essence of all creation. She uniquely can lead us away from illusions into an awakened state. Shekinah transcends labels as a translator between the seen and the unseen, the holy and the mundane.

We are blessed with the freedom to choose our paths. I release control and eagerly embrace her Wisdom whenever possible in every aspect of my existence. This surrender has granted me greater inner strength and the capacity to have faith that even my mistakes will ultimately bring about positive outcomes if I allow Shekinah to guide me.

Shekinah offers profound power for strength and healing. With her guidance, we can trust that we follow the Creator's will on our journey. She can help us find our Path, correct mistakes, and restore balance to our lives. Surrendering control over our choices and placing faith in Shekinah brings us new peace. By letting go of judgments and assessments, we can be confident in Shekinah guiding us toward the Creator's will. Through this belief, I have found lasting peace and live harmoniously, no longer fearing the unknown.

Surrendering to Shekinah's will reveals strength, faith, and peace. With her guidance, we gain clarity and confidence in our choices. Shekinah grants the power of understanding, enabling us to live with unwavering faith and trust in the Creator's divine plan.

Regardless of the circumstances, we can find comfort in surrendering control to Shekinah, fully aware that we are always on the Path. With renewed confidence and determination, we can move forward, confident that Shekinah will provide the guidance and protection needed for our triumph.

Shekinah is a profound source of strength and guidance. By surrendering our will to her, we can find clarity in our choices and trust that her loving support will fulfill the Creator's divine purpose. With renewed confidence, faith, and peace, we can move forward on our paths, knowing that Shekinah is always with us.

The Shekinah and the Seal of Solomon

King Solomon is believed to have been an initiate of the Angels, and you, too, can become one someday. It all depends on your ability to apply judgment to knowledge, which is Wisdom. While some possess one or the other, the fusion of the two embodies true Wisdom. Moreover, when you add a third element, magic, you attain Wisdom plus Power, symbolized by the Seal of Solomon.

This Seal, often depicted as a hexagram or six-pointed star with two interlaced triangles, represents the harmonization of opposing forces, fire (masculine) and water (feminine). It also signifies the mystical union between the Creator above and the Shekinah below. Another interpretation suggests that the upward-pointing triangle denotes the Mystic Triangle, representing the Creator, Angels, and Shekinah. In contrast, the downward-pointing triangle signifies thaumaturgy, or the use of magic for tangible outcomes. Furthermore, the upper Mystic Triangle represents the descent of Divine power to humanity, and the lower Material Triangle embodies humanity's aspirations reaching toward the heavens.

Solomon's Seal signifies the Wisdom of divine matters leading to practical results, as expressed in the words, "By Thy Hand, it was performed, by me, Thy servant, who knew Thy ways."

Everyone learns and develops at their own pace. Most people gain a lot of knowledge before gaining any wisdom. However, more than knowledge is needed to become skilled. Learning requires a combination of expertise and good judgment. A good magical constitution takes time to develop as a tree grows slowly. But the benefits of gaining knowledge are worth the wait.

How to Work With The Shekinah

Connecting with the Shekinah

This is the true meaning of the Sephirotic Tree, also known as the Tree of Life. As biblical texts describe, this mystical Tree bridges the heavenly and earthly realms. When beginning the study of magic, one creates a Tree that grows taller with each practice, reaching toward the heavens. Each branch bears the name of an angel and holds the magic associated with that celestial being.

It is enough to understand that planting a Tree in the astral realm can connect you to angels and their powers and the Shekinah, who offer guidance and kindness. In the Ancient Story of Lucifer, the "Fall of the Angels" described how they shared knowledge with humans before we were ready to use it wisely. Angels are different from us in that they learn from their mistakes and don't make the same ones twice.

Consequently, occult secrets only reveal themselves to those few who are willing to learn and have the patience to appreciate that knowledge. This requires judgment as a companion to fuse knowledge into Wisdom, the epitome of perfection. Hence, within the Tarot, the Adept, the precursor of authentic occult might, is personified as The Fool. Knowledge bereft of judgment engenders an occult-minded fool, imperiling others as much as himself. Conversely, knowledge coupled with judgment blossoms into Wisdom, the emblem of the Adept, who traverses the world confidently and effortlessly as they discern their position slightly lower than the celestial beings themselves.

The Shekinah is a sacred presence that can aid us in our lives and guide us toward Wisdom and knowledge for personal growth. The Adept knows how to utilize this power wisely, knowing that knowledge combined with judgment leads to understanding. Individuals may navigate life more confidently by connecting with the Shekinah daily. Being guided by the Shekinah can transform a harrowing journey into a beautiful one full of discovery.

Uncover Your True Nature and Embark on a Transformative Journey with the Shekinah

The Adept acknowledges the importance of cultivating spiritual connections such as the Shekinah, enabling greater insight and judgment along their journey. They easily travel through the world, knowing their place is "just below the angels" but connected with the Shekinah.

The Shekinah is accessible when we consciously connect, offering insight, guidance, and Wisdom. It is essential to take a moment daily to honor this sacred presence and listen to what it has to share. The Shekinah is a silent companion ready to assist our spiritual growth as we journey through life.

Take time daily to connect with the Shekinah, for true wisdom dwells in this sacred space. With the guidance of the Shekinah, we can manifest our highest potential and discover more profound levels of self-knowledge. This leads to experiencing life with clarity, inner peace, and a deep connection with the Divine.

Honor your journey and allow the Shekinah to guide your every step. The Creator wills that we live lives of joy, love, and spiritual fulfillment. May your connection with the Shekinah lead you to a profound understanding of your true nature, bringing peace and receiving all the blessings the Infinite has for you.
