- The Goddess is With You Always
The Goddess is a universal force for healing, correction, and protection. Different cultures and traditions know her by countless different names. If there is anything in your life that seems hopeless, she can offer a fresh way of seeing it. She can give you a clear understanding that healing and resolution can be yours right now. She is everywhere perfect. She knows what ails you and how to heal it. But she cannot enter uninvited. You can approach the Goddess by whatever name or form speaks to you through a voice of peace. You may call her Goddess, Mother, Holy Spirit, Shekinah, Diana, Artemis, Asherah, Astarte, and by countless other names. She is not picky how you call on her. Try calling on the Divine Mother each day. Ask that she guide your every thought, word, action and intention. Meditate on her presence and then wait on her. There is no problem that is too great for her. She can undo any mistake, she can untie any knot. She is literally “full of grace.” Grace is yours because of who you are, not because of anything you can you do. You cannot “earn” grace, you can only receive it. You are a Divine Child of the Infinite. Grace is your birthright. No matter you have done in the past, or whatever has happened to in the past, through grace you can find forgiveness, peace, joy, love, health, prosperity, success and all good—here and now. The Goddess is eager to help you return to your natural state of grace, joy, power and happiness. - The Sevens
Merry Meet! It's time to delve into the sevens as we continue our sojourn through the non-illustrated pips! Shop for some of my favorite tarot decks at our affiliate shop! Seven We know the seventh sphere on the Tree of Life as Eternity or Victory--the sphere of the upgrades of the Tree. Whereas the sixes showed us the nature of salvation; the sevens bring us the "upgrades" that result from this salvation. Seven is the sphere of Venus, the planet of love, beauty, art, poetry, and seduction. Seven is an unbalanced, odd number. Calls us to move to the next best place on our path. Sevens are upgrades. They show us how our luck can change in an instant. The seventh sphere is where all love goddesses dwell: Aphrodite, Venus, Brigid, Freya, etc. This is a sphere of both seduction and love. Of debauchery and beauty. The seventh sphere is the sphere of emerald greens, sea-foam greens, corals and pinks. The Seven of Wands Wands are our passions. They represent our work in the world, and those things we came here to accomplish. They can be our careers, our jobs, our vocations and our serious hobbies. The Seven of Wands often indicates an upgrade in our work. Sevens can show so-called luck in our lives, but we know all luck is because of what we do, not some capricious deity doling out rewards and punishments. In a reading, this can portend a promotion or raise at work, a positive turn of events in a career or a swift success in an important project . The Seven of Cups Cups often reveal one's love life; but they can also show us our spiritual life, and the journey of our soul. Sevens always are harbingers of beautification; thus the Seven of cups speaks to us of an upgrade and a beautification in a love relationship and in our own relationship with our soul. In a reading, this card reveals a lucky turn of events in romance, and the desire and need to find beauty in all parts of our lives. The Seven of Swords This is a card of a complete reversal in conflict. The Seven of Swords brings us news of a resolution in a fight, argument or resentment. This card reminds us that many of our battles can disappear if we but look at them in a new light. This upgrade is one where the energy of seven can be at its most helpful. This is a card of grace and forgiveness. In a reading, the Seven of Swords often tells of a long standing conflict that is completely turned on its head. It can also be a sign that the querent is learning new positive ways to deal with conflict in general. The Seven of Coins The lucky Seven of Coins tells us that a financial upgrade is in the making. Upgrades and a change of luck in every area of money, finance, assets and possessions are all promised by the Seven of Coins. Since the Coins can represent all manifestations of wealth and possessions, the Seven of Coins can signal the need to beautify one's environment. In a reading, this card can mean a raise, a win and a sudden change in fortune. Next up, the busy eights! Thank you so much for reading my post. I'm so happy to have you be a part of Ariel's Corner! - The Solution Is Already Available
When a teacher puts an equation on the board to be solved by a student, the answer already exists. The student is not required to create the correct answer; rather, they are required to realize the answer that already exists. In a similar fashion, all our problems have also already got solutions. We aren't supposed to create solutions for problems, instead, we must realize the solutions to our problems that already exist. To do this we need to be cognizant of our role in the problem-solving process. We are the student, not the teacher. We must ask to be guided and led to the realization of the solution that already exists. This we can only do when we are in a receptive state of mind. In some Zen studies, this is described as making the mind like an empty rice bowl. Jesus called it becoming like a small child. A child knows that they don't know; thus they want to learn and be guided. The same childlike wonder is what is required of us to be led to the solution of ANY problem that is before us. If we don't do this, and instead think that the creation of the solution is up to us, we then place ourselves in a role we were not created to fulfill. The moment we decide that we know the answers, we immediately shut the door on our assistance, and thus have an experience of being all alone and by ourselves. This is the birth of fear. Once we have allowed fear into the equation, we must start again. We must remind ourselves that fear only enters when we have turned our backs on our own spiritual assistance that is continuously available. "Dear Spirit, I know that the solution to this is already available for me fully formed. I ask to be led and shown the way to realize this solution here and now. Thank you VERY much! So mote it be!" - Magic and The Quiet Mind
To work any style of magic effectively, the first thing that must be accomplished is finding quietness within your mind and relaxation in your body. This can seem impossible if you are working magic to get yourself out of trouble or crisis, but it can be done and it must be done. Entering a magical operation with a sense of desperation is almost always a recipe for failure. A common occurrence when people find themselves in trouble is that they rush through website after website, or flip through book after book, trying to find a spell, prayer, or treatment that will help, all the while increasing their anxiety and leaving them in a state where failure seems their only option. Having a regular, daily spiritual practice is the secret to avoiding this sort of problem. Regular practice primes you for the times when you need to lean on your discipline in order to find the quietness of mind that is required for magical efficacy. Effective magic simply cannot be performed in a state of panic, upset, fear, anger, or chaos. You must first find relaxation in your mind and body. You can accomplish this quietness only through regular daily practice. At least once each day, sit, with your spine straight, and start to breathe deeply and calmly. Tell each part of your body, in turn, to relax and let go as you breathe. Your body has to obey you. If your mind starts racing, immediately bring it back to your breath and the relaxation of your body. Once your body is relaxed, then relax your mind. A simple way to do this is to mentally repeat a phrase. I use the phrase, “Blessed Be.” Mentally repeat this phrase (or another of your choosing) while you continue to breathe deeply and calmly. Whenever you notice your mind wandering or racing, gently (but firmly) bring it back to the silent mental repetition of your chosen phrase. It is only a quiet mind in a relaxed body that can work effective magic. Practice quieting your mind and relaxing your body each day. Work up to 5, 10, or even 20 minutes each day of this, and you will be ready for magic even under the most stressful of circumstances. - The Sixes
Merry Meet! We are ready to head into the sixes as we continue our journey through the pips! Shop for some of my favorite tarot decks at our affiliate shop! Six The sixth sphere on the Tree of Life is known as Beauty--the sphere of the heart of the Tree. Whereas the fives showed us the unbalanced nature of conflict; the sixes want to "save" us from our own self-destruction. Six is the sphere of the Sun, the planet of life, healing, success, regeneration, and salvation. Six is a balanced, even number. It promotes the growth of all life. Solar energy promotes our good in its most appropriate forms. The sixth sphere is where all the so-called "savior gods" are indicated: Jesus, Osiris, Dionysus, the Grain God, the Green Man, etc. This is where the ancient story of the dying god who resurrects to save the people is told. This story is the story of our own inner journey. The savior exists as our own higher self. The sixth sphere is the sphere of the Solar Light: The light of the soul of the universal sun. The Six of Wands Solar energy is very at home in the suit of wands. The six of wands often speaks to the work that our soul came here to do. If our chosen work in the world is at odds with this soul work, then we tend to experience disappointment. But if our work in the world is in harmony with the work of our soul, all seems to work out for us so well that it appears as though we are living a "charmed life." Sixes often will do for us what we cannot do for ourselves, so if we are at odds with our work in the world, a six can indicate a type of divine intervention in our jobs or careers. In a reading, this often is a reminder to the querent that regardless of what their work in the world is, they can dedicate this work to their Soul and allow it to be transformed into work that is precious. The Six of Cups We often assume that the age of miracles is over. It's not. But because our generation has become so cynical, miracles have had to become very subtle in order that we don't shut them down. In a reading, this card is often an indication of a complete change in perception on a soul level. Something that had been troublesome has been removed from the querent'ss life and all is well. The Six of Swords This is a card of rising above the battleground. The six of swords is an indication of a complete relinquishing of our resentments and all the good that rushes forth from doing such. This card reminds us that instead of being tempted into a battle, we must train ourselves to be nonreactive. Thus this is a card of the spiritual warrior. We give the battle to the Solar Light and allow ourselves to be lifted from the conflict completely. In a reading, this is an indication of complete removal from attack or conflict. It's a card of good news. The Six of Coins This is often the card of the financial miracle. Miracles don't come uninvited, so this often indicates that the querent has at some point claimed something to the effect of, "there has got to be a better way than this. Please help me!" The universe has been listening. In a reading, this card is often an indication of a complete reversal of financial fortune, but miracles are usually more subtle than one might expect. It is important that the querent not confuse subtle with powerful. Next up, the sensual and lucky sevens! Thank you so much for reading my post. I'm so happy to have you be a part of Ariel's Corner! Join us on our daily tarot readings, magic streams, on our Forums, and on our Facebook Group. Blessed be!
- The Fives
Merry Meet! Onward we travel into those testy fives! Shop for some of my favorite tarot decks at our affiliate shop! The Fives The fifth sphere on the Tree of Life is known as Severity--the sphere of conflict of all types. Whereas the fours gave us the balanced structure and the promise of expansion, the fives want to tear structures down. Five is the sphere of Mars, the planet of energy, conflict, war, revenge, and destruction. When Martial energy is used on behalf of the Good, then it confronts and destroys structures in our lives that no longer serve our good. But more frequently, Mars energy manifests as grievances and resentments that foster all sorts of conflict, scorekeeping, and retaliation. Five is an unbalanced, odd number. It promotes motion and change. All Martial energy that promotes positive change is borne with little to no discomfort. It is the festering resentments, the need to be right at all costs, and the downright cruelty of this sphere that we must be aware of and guard against indulging in. The Five of Wands Of all the suits, wands bear the fires of Mars quite well. This card often speaks of "in the moment" conflicts that don't carry any significant long-term weight. Often this energy manifests as temper tantrums, silly arguments, tiffs, and blow-ups. This card can indicate stuck energy that needs to be moved or trapped steam that must be blown off. In a reading this often is a reminder to the querent not to take any of these things too seriously, and that many of these kinds of upsets can be avoided by simply taking a bit of time out to get some exercise, breathe, and move some stuck energy. The Five of Coins Mars in cups is all about inner conflict. Martial energy when focussed on the emotional and spiritual planes often manifests. Depending on surrounding cards, this inner struggle can denote an initiation of sorts. This will often be a difficulty that bears great gifts. Too often, however, this five is depression, self-loathing, fear, and despondency. In a reading this is often a call for the person to find a new perspective. Often the way out of their darkness is very clearly indicated in the surrounding cards. The Five of Swords Swords are about the battle, and fives are about the war. This pip is a conflict with absolutely no restraint. No good can come of tolerating cruelty for its own sake whether it be a trait within ourselves or that we witness in others. If not dealt with directly, it can become even more problematic. In a reading, the Five of Swords frequently advises that abuse of any kind is not to be tolerated. If the person needs to extricate themselves from an untenable situation they should not delay in doing so. Five of Coins The Five of Coins represents a conflict in our assets. This can be financial loss, lawsuits, bankruptcy, tax audits, disinheritance, etc. If it is not about the finances, then there is definitely conflict in regards to possessions or assets of some sort or another. In a reading, this card can be counseling the querent to deal with this conflict directly and using positive means. The cards surrounding it will usually offer a decent plan of action. Remember that no matter how bad a situation looks, to spirit its solution is a piece of cake! Next up, the savior sixes! Thank you so much for reading my post. - Aces Are Roots
Merry Meet! Today begins a series of blog entries on the tarot pip cards (AKA minor arcana). While I still occasionally read with illustrated pips, my favorite tarot decks have non illustrated pip cards. Many people shy away from these "pip decks" because they think it's too hard to memorize all the meanings. But you don't need to memorize individual meanings to get started reading with pip decks. All you need is a system to organize them. There are several different systems. I don't always care to superimpose quite as many concepts of western magic onto the tarot as some do, however, the pips can really come to life when considered as existing within each of the spheres on the Tree of Life of the Hermetic Qabalah. While it's very true that Qabalah was never intended to be part of the ancient Tarot, the Tree of Life DOES make for a very accurate system of understanding the pips. The Aces On the Tree of Life, the number one is depicted by the sphere named The Crown. The crown is the Godhead. The crown is unity. The Crown is pre-gender. There is nothing to oppose it. The Crown is the Seat or Root of all subsequent power. How can a crown be a seat or root? Consider that monarchical power was seen to SIT in the crown which rested on the head of the monarch. The monarch was thought to be the mortal representation of the Godhead here on earth. If we consider the idea of the Aces existing within the Crown sphere they show themselves to be the seat or root of each of the powers of their respective suits. In readings, I don't often attribute the suits to each of the four elements. I find that it can be like forcing a square peg into a round hole. Instead, I like to consider the actual practical purposes for the implements after which each suit is named to inform my understanding of the powers within their respective suits. In other words, wands blossom and lead, cups hold liquid, swords stab, and coins are earned and spent. The Ace of Wands Wands are creativity. Wands are work in the world. Wands are passions. Wands are desires. Wands are purpose. Wands are growth. The Ace of wands represents the root of all that inspires you, all that motivates you, and all that you desire. In many decks, the wand depicted on the ace of wands card is in full flower and often looks rather phallic. This is a good way of representing the power of the suit for which the ace is the root. In a reading, ace of wands can often mean a new opportunity, a new project, a new job, a new business, etc. The Ace of Cups Cups contain liquid. All liquid must have a container to exist in any meaningful capacity on the earth. Even the ocean has a container. Cups represent our capacity to contain that which requires a container in us. Our souls are contained by our bodies. In this respect, the body can be likened to a cup and the soul the liquid in the cup. Often cups can represent emotions. All aspects of our non-physical self can be seen to be liquid in nature. Emotions are only one small manifestation of the nonphysical parts of us. Thus the cups can represent our spiritual nature. In a reading, the Ace of Cups can often signify new understandings, new faith, religious experiences, a rebirth, forgiveness, grace, deep abiding love, peace, etc. In matters of romance and relationships, the cups have much to say. It is ultimately our relationship to Spirit that determines the quality of our relationships with everything and everyone. The Ace of Swords Swords are forged to stab. They aren't tools that have been repurposed as weapons. Swords are fashioned to be weapons. Swords signify conflict. The suit of swords always aptly teaches us the lesson that one who lives by the sword dies by the sword. The cards of the suit of Swords aren't there to scare you. The swords are helpers that are showing you how to resolve or escape any conflict you may be experiencing. The Ace of swords is always the sign of the winner. As power on its own, the Ace of swords allows for all to be winners, but the Ego only finds value in winning if there are losers. In a reading, the Ace of Swords often depicts overcoming conflict or difficulty. It signifies victory in a battle of any kind. The Ace of Swords reminds us to give our battles to our higher power to fight on our behalf. Ace of Coins The original suit in the ancient Tarots was always coins, not pentacles. Even if the suit in your deck is Pentacles, think of them as coins. Coins are minted for one thing only and that's for trading. Coins are money. Money itself is a symbol. Money represents assets. All things that can have a monetary value attached to them fall under this category. The Suit of Coins symbolizes more than mere currency. The root of this power is pure and utter opulence. The Ace of Coins is pure abundance--infinite prosperity. The Ace of Coins teaches us that there are infinite abundance and an endless supply of all good for each of us. This is the truth that cannot be refuted. Remember the aces are one with the God-head on the Tree of Life. In a reading, the Ace of Coins can represent a new source of income, a new job, a windfall, as well as the consecration of all our tangible assets to the work of our higher selves. I certainly love having you with us here at Ariel's Corner, on our daily streams, on the Forums, and on our Facebook Group. You are the BEST! Blessed be!
- The Twos
Merry Meet! Today we continue our journey into the non-illustrated pips of the ancient Tarot decks. If you are exploring reading a pip deck, you might want to have a look at some of my favorite decks currently in print. The Twos On the Tree of Life of the Hermetic Qabalah, the number two is depicted by the sphere named Wisdom. Wisdom is the first manifestation of gender. Wisdom is the sphere of the Supernal Father. The all that is expressing itself as gender causes the number two to seek balance. Twos teach us the mysteries of the Divine Masculine. Wisdom from this side of the tree is fueled by its desire to find its complimentary force on the other side of the tree (Sphere number three, named "Understanding" which is the supernal Mother). Considering the twos as existing within the sphere of wisdom can bring some very interesting ideas to light for us, especially when we begin to consider how the energy of this sphere might express itself within each of the four suits. Rather than always relying on each suit to represent one of the four elements, try calling to mind the actual practical purposes the implements of each suit were designed to serve. Wands blossom and lead, cups hold liquid, swords stab, and coins are earned and spent. The Two of Wands The two of wands represents the desire to create. It is a pure desire for manifestation. This two represents things desired but not yet seen. It indicates faith (or the need thereof) that that which is not yet manifest is coming to pass. The Two of Wands is the creative spark in search of its expression. It is pure desire. In a reading, the two of wands often means work and planning that is not yet yielding results. Often, the querent is doing the right thing and must be reassured that results are forthcoming and encouraged to keep steadfast faith. The Two of Cups Two containers implies that liquid is being set apart from itself, and divided into two. This experience of separation creates a profound desire to rejoin oneself again and can manifest in all kinds of "quests for the Holy Grail." The two of cups represents the soul's longing for reuniting with its source. This longing is often depicted in the mortal world as a person desiring a mate. It is wise to remember that our desire for human contact mirrors our desire to unite with our souls. In a reading, the Two of Cups signifies the desire for spiritual union or the seeking of a spiritual path that reconnects the querent to their souls. Obviously in matters of the heart, this is an indication of a love relationship or the desire for one, but it's wise to remember that love relationships are representations of the soul's desire for connection to Source. The Two of Swords Swords are weapons. Swords are conflict. Twos are the desire to connect swords are the desire to attack and defend. This creates a desire for peace amidst conflict. This Two is in constant seeking of balance where balance is lacking. The Two of swords is often a sign that a person is learning how to focus and not get distracted by the noise about them. In a reading, the Two of Swords often depicts the practice of mental discipline. Often meditation and other methods of disciplining the mind are indicated by the Two of Swords. Overall, it speaks of keeping one's composure and poise in the midst of any unbalance. Two of Coins (Pentacles) Coins mean assets, often money. Twos mean desire. Does that mean that the two of Coins is simply the desire for money? Remember that the masculine force of the Second Sphere seeks its mate. So rather than a simple desire for money, the two of coins represents the desire for what we most value. Many people have no idea what they really value, but if they look to their lives and take note of what they spend the bulk of their time thinking about, talking about and doing they will see exactly what they value and it can be quite a shocking realization to many. In a reading, the two of coins often represents the querent's immediate needs being met, but that there is desire for much greater wealth. It calls to them to evaluate what they value, and amend their value system if necessary in order to change course to something much better than where they are currently headed if such a change is desirable as indicated in the reading. Thank you so much for reading my post. I'm so happy to have you be a part of Ariel's Corner! Join us on our daily streams, on our Forums, and on our Facebook Group. Blessed be!
- The Threes
Merry Meet! Onward we travel through the pips, with the threes! Shop for some of my favorite tarot decks at our affiliate shop! The Threes The third Sphere on the Tree of Life is known as Understanding. Understanding is the Great Mother. We can't always think of the tree of life as being levels in a verticle succession. This sphere encompasses the entirety of the underworld. Understanding is literally that which stands under. Threes teach us the mysteries of the Divine Feminine. Understanding, the Supernal Mother, is the great darkness. She is where the seed of wisdom gestates, protected from the light. Out of this great darkness begins the first stirrings of manifestation. This sphere is ruled by the planet Saturn. It is here that all time and space are developed. This is a sphere of great discipline--the sphere of the Great Mother. The Three of Wands The Three of wands represents the discipline to carry a project through to manifestation. It is the first stirring of manifestation of any creative enterprise. This three represents great ingenuity, passion, and drive. It symbolizes a balanced approach to having one's will carried out. The Three of Wands is disciplined will. In a reading, the three of wands often means actual signs of the manifestation of a project or desire. The Three of Cups These three cups suggest a toast or celebration of some sort. This is often a card of joy. Being that three is governed by Saturn, it is earned joy. There is no frivolity in this card; instead, it recognizes the necessity of finding the joy in our work and celebrating it. The Three of Cups represents the soul's need for praise, love, and gratitude. This pip can represent the mystical third in a couple, and thus can at times represent marriage or other partnership. The Great Mother is at home in the cups, so this is also a card of fertility and the womb. In a reading, the Three of Cups often represents joy and celebration, and the reminder to take our joys where we can find them. In questions regarding childbirth, this can be an auspicious card. The Three of Swords Swords' main purpose is stabbing. Threes are the desire to manifest, but also Saturn expects that everything that happens is exactly what we have earned and thus deserve. The three of swords suggests a need to pierce based on past guilt, or conflicts. This is often the card of divorce and painful endings. The three of swords is often a reminder that the reason we have painful endings in our lives is that that's exactly what we think we deserve. We often use painful endings as a way in which we can punish ourselves for buried ideas of guilt that we carry and don't bother to notice, let alone resolve. In a reading, the Three of Swords often depicts a painful ending. It is important to remember that the future is not set in stone, and we can make new choices that change how we experience our lives. Having this card come up is a wonderful reminder to forgive ourselves and others and not carry resentment and guilt which we will later use against ourselves. Three of Coins (Pentacles) The Three of Coins is a wonderful card, especially in a financial reading! It reminds us that we must work hard, and with great joy if we are to prosper in this world. This is not a card of short cuts. This is the card of great skill, meaningful work, enjoyable labor, mastery in crafts and arts. Work is the manner by which the first stirrings of financial fortune manifest. The true nature of this fortune remains hidden in the Great Darkness of the Mother while work is done on its behalf. The full manifestation is not known to us, as the Great Mother is veiled in secrecy. The Three of Coins promises reward for meaningful work done well and expects us to have faith in the outcome. If we work hard planting the crop the bountiful harvest is promised. In a reading, this card often represents work, employment, skill, and the promise of greater wealth after more effort. Next up, the expansive fours! Thank you so much for reading my post. I'm so happy to have you be a part of Ariel's Corner! Join us on our daily streams, on our Forums, and on our Facebook Group. Blessed be!
- Kindness as Medicine
Medicine in the modern age has come to be thought of as chemical compounds or substances which combat, reverse, cure, or control symptoms of disease within the body of humans, animals, or plants. A more ancient way of thinking of medicine is spiritual forces which bring about balance which can establish and maintain health in all areas of life. From that point of view medicine is not necessarily a chemical, but often a way of life, a series of practices or an all-encompassing though-form. In the Craft, we teach that the causative principle exists within the world of the invisible, or the mind and that all effects occur within the realm of the manifest or the physical. To look to the manifest world to bring about a healing change provides only temporary relief at best. Often it is stated that love is the true panacea. This is probably true; however, occult law holds that all life is made out of the substance of love, therefore love can never truly be lacking in any situation since it is omnipresent. What can be lacking is the expression of love. The expression of love is kindness. Kindness is the ancient panacea. Kindness can truly cure whatever ails us, according to the ancients. However, knowing this and actually applying it are two very different things. A tool is only helpful if it is used (and used properly and efficiently). I spoke on a recent livestream about this topic. I give several different ways of approaching this great medicine. I hope you can take some time and listen to the talk and start putting it use. It really does work! The recording of that talk is below. I hope you enjoy it! Blessed be!
- The Fours
Merry Meet! Our journey through the pips presses on... Shop for some of my favorite tarot decks at our affiliate shop! The Fours The fourth sphere on the Tree of Life is known as Mercy. This is quite literally a jovial sphere -- it is the sphere of Jupiter! Jupiter is the planet of EXPANSION! Whereas the threes gave us the first stirrings of manifestation, the fours demand structure. Being that four is the sphere of Jupiter, it must be understood that the structures that this sphere demands that we build are for the purpose of expanding all good. There is a rock-solid base on the sphere of Mercy. All that is accomplished in this sphere is through the power of benevolence. All good expands rapidly through this sphere by virtue of the integrity of the structures which are built to house it. The more solid the structure, the wider and bigger the expansion. Honesty, Forgiveness, and all manifestations of magnanimity, generosity, and graciousness are indicated by this sphere. The Four of Wands The Four of wands represents structured success--structured passion. This is a card of enterprise. The ways and means to create great things are depicted here. This pip is very generous. There is a great desire to serve the greater good when this card is in reading. Much success and happiness are ensured due to the unstoppable benevolence depicted here. This can be a card of forgiveness and amnesty. It can also symbolize harmony both in the family and at work. The Four of Cups Commonly, this is thought of as a card of ennui. I don't usually see it that way at all. The structure and expansive nature of the four against the spiritual and often emotional nature of the cups suggest that this is a card of emotional and spiritual discernment. This can suggest a spiritual or emotional discipline such as a regular spiritual practice, psychotherapy, etc. In a reading, this card may be a reminder that if the querent is feeling emotionally or spiritually stalled, that what is being called for is greater generosity on their part. The Four of Swords Swords are about the battle, and fours are about mercy. This pip is calling for a rest. This can depict a removal from the battlefield in order to rest and regroup. This pip calls for the recharging of our mental and psychic batteries. This recharging is always accomplished first through rest! The Four of Swords often asks us to look more clearly at our conflicts and honestly consider if they are worth the price we must pay at the expense of our general well-being. In a reading, the Four of Swords is about taking a break and indulging in a well-needed downtime. The querent is often at a place in their life where they need to question whether they want so much conflict moving forward. This card cand represent the desire for a better way. Four of Coins The Four of Coins represents the very real possibility of great wealth. This pip suggests that financial structures either should be or are being built. This can be a card of taking stock of all assets. Usually, when one moves through taking an inventory of all their assets, they are stunned at how very wealthy they already are. This card can represent both great generosity and financial soundness. This is a card of financial structure but it is not necessarily a miserly card as is so often depicted. Jupiter is anything but a miser. In a reading, this card often represents financial structures needing to be attended to in order for great expansion to occur. Next up, the warrior fives! Thank you so much for reading my post. I'm so happy to have you be a part of Ariel's Corner! Join us on our daily tarot readings, magic streams, on our Forums, and on our Facebook Group. Blessed be!
- The Witch's Pyramid
When we build our power from the ground up using the classic Witch's Pyramid as our model, then we build it to be strong, balanced, and effective. The Witch's Pyramid is simple, powerful, and challenging. The Witch's Pyramid's power lies in how basic it is. The Power of Jupiter and Four A pyramid is a four-cornered structure. The number four is sacred to the sphere of Jupiter in the Hermetic Qabalah. Jupiter brings expansion. Four represents structure and solidity. The way to invoke the power of Jupiter, therefore, is to build a four-sided structure. Invoking Jupiter's power then brings the momentum required to begin to expand on that which you are building. The four-sided, expansive pyramid of power: If you are familiar with my self-study course, A Witch's Primer, you will know this pyramid quite intimately. Although AWP is often considered a course in witchcraft for beginners, the training in AWP is so rigorous and thorough that it's common for practitioners to go through it multiples times. The core of the training in AWP centers on the five weeks of lessons on building the power base. Many witches like to return to these five lessons again and again in order to continue to strengthen their pyramid powers. With a strong and balanced pyramid of witch power, you can start to expand your sphere of influence very quickly, until you are achieving things you would never have dreamed possible before. Here is a recording of an online talk I gave a few years ago on the Witch's Pyramid. I hope you enjoy it! Blessed be 🧙♂️❤️🧙♀️
