The story of Lucifer, as told in the magical tradition, is one such story that serves to help us understand the workings of our psyche and the world around us. However, before we dive into how Lucifer relates to Jesus, we must review the magical story of the Garden of Eden, which provides a groundwork for who Lucifer is. This post will review the Gnostic interpretation of the Garden of Eden and then apply that same Luciferian context to the story of Jesus of Nazareth. This story presents Yahweh as a force that punishes and restricts. It's challenging to imagine an all-loving parent telling Adam and Eve that they can do anything they want except eat from one specific tree. This seems like a set-up for failure, and it's hard to believe that Yahweh was unaware of the outcome. To fully understand the Old Testament from an esoteric point of view, it's necessary to consider the broader context and implications of its stories. Questioning the True Nature of Yahweh in the Bible: Demiurge or God? You can sometimes tell in the Bible when Yahweh is the demiurge versus when he is the true God based on how he treats people. If Yahweh behaves like a jealous God, it's not the creator; that's the ego. If Yahweh is depicted as a God of vengeance, that's not God; that's the ego. Sometimes in the Bible, however, Yahweh is the voice of the true Creator and not the demiurge. This is true sometimes, even when Yahweh seems vindictive or aggressive. The ego's perspective always characterizes God's actions as an attack. This is particularly evident in the Psalms. God never attacks, but from the Ego's point of view, it seems like an attack. Light feels like an attack from the perspective of darkness, but light does not attack; it merely shines. The Gnostic belief is that in Genesis, Yahweh was not the creator but the demiurge or ego that enslaved Adam and Eve, making them mere servants. The message was clear; follow orders and tend to the garden without questioning. A Story of Arrogance and Redemption However, the serpent appeared and challenged this notion, asking why infinite intelligence would deny self-awareness. The serpent appealed to Eve's intuition, and she became the symbol of our intuitive selves. The story's savior, from this perspective, was the serpent. The ancient story of Lucifer suggests that the fall from grace occurred because, although the serpent was solely trying to offer assistance, it did so by acting alone out of a reaction to the Demiurge and not in cooperation with the Creator, whom he loved and served. This event unleashed all the issues and troubles that plague our world today, causing immense pain. The serpent's error caused a split in the mind of humanity. No longer were humans receiving direction directly from the Creator; they were now following the example of the serpent and thinking by themselves before they knew how to handle the immense powers of their autonomous minds. Lucifer realized his error and took immediate steps to make amends. He must enter this world to guide humanity back to the path of righteousness, which means right thinking. Once our minds are healed from the split caused by the fall, Lucifer's work will be complete, and he will return to his original position as the so-called Angel of the Lord (the first angel). The Incarnation of Lucifer in Jesus of Nazareth: A Luciferian Worldview To achieve this great Atonement, the ancient story tells us that Lucifer will be reborn repeatedly to teach and guide humanity. The latest incarnation of Lucifer is said to have taken the form of Jesus of Nazareth. Even if you don't believe that Jesus existed, his life story can be seen as one that aligns with a Luciferian worldview. The Jews of Jesus' era believed that the Messiah was coming. However, the Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah because they anticipated someone more like King David – wealthy, established, and living a grand life. Jesus, however, was born into poverty. He aimed to enlighten and liberate people from the rigid demiurge that people regarded as the true God, Yahweh. People failed to realize that Yahweh represented the ego or the demiurge in so many of their bible stories. The Essenes: A Jewish Sect with Unusual Doctrines The Essenes, also known as the Sons of Sedeq, were a Jewish sect known for their extraordinary abilities as healers and prophets. Interestingly, their literature had similarities with Buddhism. Their founder, Moreh Sedeq, was considered the "correct teacher" and was believed to be an angel of light who would appear as Malki Sedeq or Melchizedek, the Heavenly Priest, at the end of days. This belief is referenced in the War Scroll, one of the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Essenes were believed to be descendants of the prophet Enoch and had their book, The Book of Enoch, which contained detailed information about angels and angel lore. Although mainstream Jews did not accept their beliefs, the Essenes were tolerated and viewed as being on the fringe. Their faith rested on the idea that the fallen angel would be the one to help all those in need – a cornerstone of their beliefs. In the Bible, the term "sedeq" is often translated as righteousness but represents divine order. The book of Genesis portrays Melchizedek as a Pre-Israelite king of Jerusalem, similar to Enoch and Elijah, with associations to the sun. According to legend, Enoch lived for 365 years, which aligns with a solar year. This is an occult reference, suggesting that 365 years of age is the depiction of a solar entity. Elijah, on the other hand, was believed to have ascended into heaven with a solar chariot. These mysteries are conveyed in Jewish resources, where the planet Jupiter is also referred to as "sedeq," based on the Babylonian God Bel and Marduk's association with Jupiter. Furthermore, the ancients only knew of five planets: Shama for the Sun, Jupiter as sedeq, and Saturn referred to as Shabbetai. The Gospels and the Missing Pieces of the Jesus Character It wouldn't have been possible for Jesus to start preaching without being a recognized rabbi or being married and having children, as per the Hebrew laws of that era. Nevertheless, none of the Gospels mention these critical details. So, what can we learn about the character of Jesus from the four primary Gospels? Further clarification is necessary. Recognizing that the New Testament has been heavily edited and redacted over the years is crucial. The orthodoxy in forming it chose what to include and exclude and even made changes and edits long after the events. This makes it difficult to rely on the Gospels as a source of truth. However, we can still discover the truth by examining mythology through an occult lens. For instance, Bethlehem means the "House of Nourishment" and "the site of a battle," and the Good Shepherd and Lamb of God are associated with this place. The symbolism of the lamb as meat and bread represents the "house of flesh" and "the place of bread." Moreover, Jesus' birth took place during the transition from Pisces to Aries, and he was considered to be from the house of David, which had descended from the Shepherd Kings in the Old Testament. Even his birth story includes shepherds watching their flocks by night, further highlighting this lineage of shepherds. According to the biblical account, the angel of the Lord appeared, and the presence of Shekinah was felt at the birthplace of Jesus in Bethlehem. Interestingly, Bethlehem means "place of bread" and "place of battle." Additionally, Mars - the planet associated with war and action - is also referred to as Bethlehem. Mars rules Aries, which the lamb symbolizes. During Jesus' birth, Mars was conjoined with Saturn, Jupiter, the sun, and the Moon, potentially playing a role in the magi finding the birthplace through the stars. According to the gospels, Jesus was born from Mary and Joseph and had siblings. It is unclear whether these siblings were Joseph's from a previous marriage or if Mary had given birth to them, but it is certain that Jesus had brothers and sisters. Jesus' Probable Inspiration The Essenes were a community that Jesus likely emulated in his teachings. The name is Essene comes from two Aramaic words: Asiah, meaning physician, and Siah, meaning pious or righteous. They resided in Palestine and surrounding areas and were known for their unorthodox practices. They avoided sacrificial traditions, instead focusing on literature and angelic magic. The Essenes preached love towards one another and purity of heart, denouncing material wealth and the ambition that led to strife. They did not participate in trade or own slaves, which was unusual for their time. The Essenes had strict rules against swearing and focused on studying esoteric knowledge. They lived communally and shared everything, often wearing white garments. Their sacred literature included The Book of Enoch and the Book of Angels, where they were knowledgeable about all the angels' names, symbols, and signs. In addition to astrology, they practiced other mysteries not commonly practiced in Judaism. Despite their unique practices, many Jews viewed the Essenes as an abomination. Reinterpreting the Crucifixion: Understanding the True Meaning of Lucifer the Light Bearer Contrary to traditional Christian theology, the idea that Jesus died for one's sins is inaccurate. Jesus didn't "overcome" death. His crucifixion was simply a teaching tool to show that death is nothing. People fear death because they feel guilty. They feel guilty because Lucifer's error still splits their mind. In conclusion, Lucifer's story is not about evil and darkness but light and redemption. Through atoning for his mistake, he has taught us that we are all innocent children of the Divine and that there is no need to feel guilty or ashamed.
