How do you feel when you wake up in the morning? This feeling is what you are carrying into your day. The feeling that we carry into our day sets the tone for how we create our day. If you tend to wake up feeling irritable, depressed, fearful or low, it’s very helpful for you to have a regular morning practice to clear your emotions and to focus your mind. By consciously choosing to start your day in a certain way, you can create according to the energy you desire, rather than just bringing up dross from your unconscious mind and creating through that dross unconsciously. Your practice doesn’t have to be a long, complex, or difficult one. The first thing when you wake up, regardless of the emotion you are experiencing, say to yourself, “I dedicate this day to Infinite Love. Infinite Intelligence guides my every thought, word, and deed. My soul is in charge of my day, as it brings about all the righteous desires of my heart. Blessed be.” Then take a moment to wait in the silence. Your inner teacher may give you guidance. You may receive a message. You may get a moment of healing. When you feel ready, open your eyes and start your day knowing that you have done an extremely powerful thing. In claiming your own day for yourself, rather than allowing the law of averages to have its way, you are changing your life profoundly, one day at a time.

On the Tree of Life of the Hermetic Qabalah, Sphere number six is the Sphere of the Sun. The Sun represents the Universal Life Principle. It is called the Sphere of the Miraculous. This sphere represents the force of the universe that is capable of doing for us what we cannot do for ourselves. To invoke the power of this sphere, I use a technique called The Solar Light. The Solar Light is the force that has all power to heal and correct. It has a reorganizing ability that takes every aspect of our minds, bodies, and affairs and reorganizes them so that they conform to the Divine Design. To call on the Solar Light is simplicity itself. Simply relax your body and mind for a moment. See a beautiful ray of golden sunlight pouring through the crown of your head. See this light moving down your spinal column, lighting your spine up with Solar Light. Next, see this beautiful golden Solar Light move into your bloodstream. See your bloodstream carry this beautiful light to every cell and atom of your body. Then see the Solar Light move into your respiratory system. Breathe the golden light into every part of your body, mind, and affairs as you see your entire aura glowing with rich, Solar Light. Tell yourself that The Solar Light now heals you. The Solar light now reorganizes every aspect of your life to conform to the Divine Design. Give thanks that this is so. I have recorded a Solar Light audio meditation for your use. You possess a Special Wand of Power. You can wave your Special Wand of Power over any circumstance and watch it change. What is this Special Wand of Power? It is your ability to choose. Your thoughts are the magic that creates your experiences in the world. You can choose your thoughts. You may think you don’t have a choice over what you think; perhaps that's because you are used to just going along with whatever thoughts that happen to present themselves to you at any given moment. Instead of entertaining any thoughts that randomly occur to you, you can instead wave your Special Wand of Power and make a choice. You can choose to think any thought you desire. These new thoughts that you choose whenever you wave your Wand, can then get busy changing circumstances that reflect themselves. This is so much better than just putting up with the experiences that are reflecting the thoughts you have been thinking by rote for so long. You can prove this for yourself. The next time you notice yourself getting upset for any reason, say to yourself, “I have a Special Wand of Power that I can wave over this situation.” Then substitute any thought you desire to think in place of the thought which is causing you upset. Choose your thoughts wisely. For instance, If you are having an argument with someone and your habitual thought is, "She's so stupid. She has no idea what she's talking about." You can silently say to yourself, "I have a Special Wand of Power that I can wave over this situation." Then chose a thought that will bring you peace in the moment. You might think, "I forgive her and I sincerely wish her all the blessings of life." Once you wave your wand, take stock. How have things changed? How is the energy different? Perhaps you need to wave your wand more. Perhaps once feels like it's enough for now. If this seems like a very unique way of dealing with undesirable situations in your life than you are used to, you may need to commit yourself to waving your Special Wand of Power again and again until the magic “takes.” This kind of magic grows through use, like a muscle. Wave your Special Wand of Power over every situation that causes you distress today and notice the ways these situations melt like ice cubes in the sun.

If you worry that you are under a curse, a hex, or just in a funk of your own making, this age-old uncrossing spell will be very helpful to you. It doesn't matter the origin of the curse, this spell can take care of it. I first learned this spell in the late '70's from the late, great Al Manning. There is a copy in his classic book, Helping Yourself with White Witchcraft. This spell requires: 1. A lemon 2. a knife, 3. a large quantity of salt, 4. a bowl. This spell best performed during the waning moon. Any day of the week is fine. 1. Thinly slice the lemon into even-sized rings thinking of the condition you wish to be released from. 2. Place the lemon slices in the bowl while chanting: "All spells within me congregate Within this lemon that's your fate; Sour spell to sour fruit, You must go there 'cause that's your suit; Bound to this lemon evermore, Each spell against me that's your store; In the lemon now I see, and As I will so mote it be." 3. Cover the lemon slices completely with salt, chanting: "Uncrossed, uncrossed this salt for me, Break up attacking energy; Within this sour lemon bound Kills all spells with salt and sound As lemon dries with salt and air I'm freed from harm and all despair Uncrossed and happy now you see, and As I will so mote it be." 4. Store the bowl with the lemon and salt somewhere where there is air and that it can dry and be undisturbed. Check it every few days. If you find mold or mildew, it means the spell didn't take and needs to be repeated. Once the lemon dries completely with no mold, then the spell is complete. Work it as many times as you need to in order for you to have all the lemon slices perfectly dried with no mold or mildew present. 5. Throw the remains away in the garbage with no ceremony.

I learned of egg cleansings when I was about sixteen. Since then I have come to understand that there are a great many different ways to do egg cleansings. This following method is to be used to remove heaviness from the aura. It's not a method I would recommend as a daily cleansing, due to the amount of eggs required. It is best done in the evening prior to retiring. Begin by mentally dividing your body into twelve equal parts. Take a DOZEN fresh eggs, and cleanse the body using one unbroken egg per section, starting with the crown of your head and finishing with the soles of your feet. Take care to not let the eggs break as you gently rub them on the surface of your body. Each time you finish a section, smash the egg in the sink (if you don't have a garbage disposal; you can smash them into a bowl or bin). Once you have finished cleansing your body and all 12 eggs have been smashed in the sink, run the garbage disposal until the eggs are completely disposed of. Turn off the disposal and faucet. Pour an entire quart of distilled white vinegar, with 3 tablespoons of salt mixed in, down the sink. Don't rinse it. In the morning, run some fresh water down the drain to rinse it out. If you have thrown the eggs in a bin, just put them in an appropriate garbage receptacle outside of your house right after you have completed the aura cleansing. Omit the vinegar salt mixture if you are throwing them in the garbage instead of your sink.

When I post videos or articles on Psalm magic, I get comments and questions from both Christians and non-Christians alike about using "Christian writings." The Psalms were written CENTURIES before the supposed birth of Christ. While it is true that the character Jesus worked Psalms in many of the stories in the New Testament, the Psalms did not come from him, his teachings, nor his followers. The Psalms were included in the ancient Hebrew Bible (called the "Old Testament" by Christians), and were a part of the established religious structure of the culture out of which Christianity was born, yet that does not make the Psalms Christian in origin. Many Christians pray the Psalms as part of their religious practices. This fact does not make the Psalms inherently Christian in nature. From the perspective of the Psalmic Magical tradition I follow, the Psalms are much older than the versions which are contained in the Bible as we know it. While we respect all religions, including Judaism and Christianity, the Psalmic Magical Tradition is not necessarily a part of these religions. We work with the Book of Psalms as a distinct book, not necessarily as part of the Bible. We do not consider Psalm Magic to be "Bible Magic" per se, because we view the Psalms as having been APPROPRIATED by the ancient Hebrew scribes, not COMPOSED by them. To us, Psalms are neither Christian nor biblical in nature. To us, the Book of Psalms is a standalone spell-book written by ancient cultures, the magic of which many of us find to be unparalleled.

You wield great power in this world, but the world has probably taught you for your entire life that the opposite is true. Therefore, you don't even know that this great power is available to you. Think of your surface mind as a gardener and your deep mind as the fertile earth in which seeds of any kind will grow and thrive. Then consider the thoughts your conscious mind entertains and cherishes as being the seeds the gardener is planting. Experiment with this concept. Take an entire week and pore over the thoughts that you are choosing to contemplate about yourself, others, and all your circumstances. You may find this to be a daunting task, but don't let it be. Allow your emotions to be your guide. Your emotions reveal which seeds are germinating. If you are feeling a negative or tense emotion, think of it as thought-seeds of fear, tension, hatred, sickness, poverty, etc. that are growing in your garden. If you are feeling relaxed emotions, see them as the fresh growth from seeds of love, joy, peace, plenty, healing, etc. During your week of experimentation, at the end of each day, think back over your day and recall any negative emotions, thoughts, or occurrences you had that day. Let go of your grievances, upsets, and tensions. Allow yourself to feel peace about these situations and these people prior to going to sleep. Working in this manner, you are literally digging up the weeds you don't want in your garden, and allowing the good that do you want to thrive. After a week of doing this, you will see results that may surprise or even amaze you. Once you prove to yourself that you wield this power, things will never be the same for you again, and that's a splendid thing.

I get a great deal of mail asking me to give explanations about things written in books such as the 6th and 7th Books of Moses and The Secret of the Psalms by Godfrey Selig. These are books written about Psalm magic which are not a part of the magical current of the Psalmic Path I follow. Our Psalmic Magical tradition states clearly that in Psalm Magic, one needs nothing but a psalm for maximal magical effectiveness. Our Psalmic Path forbids nothing. One may add anything they like to their Psalmic Magic practice. Many magicians on our Psalmic Path include things like talismans, traditional witchcraft, alchemy, and ceremonial magic in their Psalmic magical practice. The power of the Psalmic formula is neither strengthened nor diluted by these practices, and can therefore blend perfectly with them. While including things other than the Psalms is always permissible in anyone's practice, any Psalm Magic system that requires anything other than a Psalm for magical effectiveness has thus revealed that it is not a part of our ancient Path. Many of these systems are rife with superstition, and most do not incorporate any form of the Psalmic formula. If a person wants to include the rituals from these other Psalmic magical systems, they, of course, are at liberty to do so. But these additions shouldn't be a substitute for the Psalmic Formula, nor should they be considered vital to the effectiveness of Psalmic Magic. Our Tradition only requires us to use the Psalmic Formula to get results: 1. Read the Psalm out loud, all the way through once, without stopping; 2. Go back through the Psalm, verse by verse, and do your best to find the occult meanings within the Psalm, and apply them to the situation at hand. The deeper we dig, the more treasure we will find, and the faster and more powerful will our magic be. No matter what kind of Psalm Spell we are casting, we keep casting it daily. We return to the Psalm (or collection of Psalms) that we are working every single day until we get a sense of peace and certainty about the situation in question. Once we feel this peace, we know our spell has taken. Then we stop casting and release the spell. We forget about it completely and move on to something else. We go about our lives and do what is in front of us to do, claiming divine guidance and divine right action at every turn. This type of attitude in our daily living gives the spell we have cast a means by which to manifest. Add anything you like to your Psalmic Practice and enjoy it, but always remember that in Psalm Magic, one needs nothing but a psalm for maximal magical effectiveness.

Make a square of Mercury using the pen and paper. We have all the planetary squares on our Facebook Group to download! 2. Convert your name, or the name of your business into numbers using a 9-based system as shown in the video demonstration below. 3. Mark a small circle beside the number on your square which corresponds to the first letter in the name. Draw a straight line from that circle to the number corresponding with the second letter of the name. Continue to draw connecting lines until you get to the last letter of the name. End it with a small line as shown. 5. Gather the ends of the fabric around the contents and tie it up with the ribbon making a small charm bag for business success. 6. Anoint the candle with the anointing oil from the center of the candle to the wick and then from the center of the candle to the base. Place the candle in its holder. Place the candle on the tray. 7. Place the charm bag on the tray near the candle and encircle them both in a ring of salt. 8. Spray three sprays of lavender perfume over the bag, the candle and the salt. (alternatively you may blend in some lavender essential oil when you make your anointing oil and skip this step). 9. Light the candle and sit and visualize your desire for about 5 minutes; extinguish the candle. Move the tray out of sight until the following day. 10. The next day, relight the candle and visualize again for five minutes. Do this a total of 8 nights and then let the candle burn down and out by itself (never leave a burning candle unattended). 11. Hide the charm somewhere in the place you do business. Re-anoint the bag and every new moon (preferably the first Wednesday after the new moon). I must have been about 20 years old when I first realized Rosewater was a potent spell ingredient, and things just took off from there. Rosewater is part of a larger group of products called floral waters, or hydrosols more accurately. What is a floral water? Perfumers will sometimes make distillations specifically to create hydrosols, but more traditionally the floral waters are the water run-offs of essential oil distillation. They are sort of a lovely byproduct -- a leftover if you will. When the essential oil is separated from the water during the distillation process, the steam is condensed and becomes water again, and this water is left scented with the essential oils it just helped to create. It's an old tradition to call any kind of hydrosol a flower water, even those waters that don't have an actual floral origin. So when you hear "flower water" (especially in some of the older texts) be aware that it can be referring to waters made of non-floral things such as rosemary or sage as well. Subtle but powerful Floral waters are amazing because they smell gorgeous, and the scent disappears very quickly. This is helpful for people who are sensitive to perfumes and/or essential oils. Very often the waters don't seem to bother people who are sensitive to strong scents. Also, the waters are very discreet. Little to no attention will be drawn to you as is sometimes the case with incense and strong perfumes. Even when I choose to use my perfumes full strength, I still enjoy adding floral waters to my rituals. I use them as a facial spray during the ritual. This puts me into a wonderfully magical place. Floral Waters are affordable Floral waters are a lot less expensive than perfumes or essential oils. Hydrosols come from natural sources. This means there's a limit to the variety of flowers that are available, and substitutions have to be made if you are trying to substitute them for traditional floral perfumes. At the end of this article, I give you a few of my choices for planetary/angelic flower water correspondences. Shop for Flower Waters at Ariel's Corner Shop How do I use floral waters in magic? 1. They completely can replace smudging when sprayed in the air for purification. Some waters for purification are bergamot, sage, rosemary, lemongrass, and verbena. 2. Spray flower waters onto talismans to anoint them. 3. Use flower waters as a body spray for aura cleansing and ritual anointing. 4. Add flower waters to bathwater to ritual baths or to carry a particular vibration with you during the day. 5. Use flower waters as a facial mist during a ritual to employ the sense of smell in the most delightful way. 6. Use flower waters to flavor foods or beverages to make potent potions (use only waters labeled for food use for this purpose) . Floral Waters Correspondences These following are not "official" correspondences. They are just the waters I use. When two flower waters are listed, you can use one or the other, or a combination of the two. The waters that tend to be all-purpose are Lemongrass, Verbena, Lavender, and Rose. If you have one of those waters you can use it as a substitute for any other water if necessary. Pour A Problem Down the Drain Vinegar Banishing Spell Witches have been using vinegar in magic for generations for good reason! Cast this spell during the waning moon. Ingredients: A bottle of distilled white vinegar Salt A sheet of black paper White Pencil Procedure: Draw an inverted pentagram on the black paper using the white pencil. Write a single word in the center of the pentagram that represents the problem. Put a line of salt over each line of the pentagram on the paper. Think intently on that which you are banishing. Remove the lid from the bottle of vinegar and carefully pour the salt from the paper into the vinegar in the bottle. Rip up the paper and throw it away. Replace the cap on the bottle. Feeling the release from this problem, vigorously shake the bottle for a few minutes. Find a drain in your home. Feeling the release from the problem, slowly pour the vinegar down the drain. Let the vinegar sit in the drain overnight (in may smell strongly of vinegar). In the morning, flush the drain well with water. You may only banish one item per spell. Help Is At Hand Whenever we feel tense, worried, anxious, or afraid about our circumstances our first reaction is usually to plan, scheme, and try to figure everything out on our own. This often causes great strain, worry, and effort for us. We plan, question, reason and try to fix things, but in most cases, we aren’t capable of coming up with the best solutions all on our own. The more we try to fix things ourselves, the more we seem to dig ourselves deeper into the problem. Spirit Knows Your Needs Instead, we can first simply acknowledge our perceived need, then take a deep breath, relax, and say, “I let go, and allow Infinite Spirit to fill this need right now.” Infinite Spirit is intelligent. It knows all, is everywhere, is always present, can never.be destroyed, and is eager to fill our needs and dissolve our fears immediately. When we put all of our attention on Infinite Spirit, we immediately begin to experience tangible benefits. As we continue to keep our minds focussed on Infinite Intelligence, rather than on trying to fix things ourselves, we see things being to work out for us. Nothing is Difficult For Spirit Infinite Spirit is never late. Infinite Spirit never strives, strains, worries, or fears about anything. From the perspective of Infinite Spirit there are no “big” problems or “little” problems, they are all equally solvable with ease. Let’s take one problem this week that seems enormous, and experiment with this technique. State, “I let go, and let Infinite Spirit fill this need.” Then we simply do that which is in front of us to do and allow ourselves to be guided every step of the way, as we keep our focus on Infinite Spirit. Notice how quickly problems clear up when we let go, and let Infinite Spirit fill our need.
